Beyond time: The world of watches

Not so long ago, everyone was wearing a wrist watch. The Casio and Timex companies were making millions. We all had, in our youth, a friend who wore the famous calculator-watch. But today, times have changed. We all have a watch worth about $ 800. It's in our pocket. It’s made by Samsung or Apple. We all have a smartphone.

Truly, in our days, a watch is a luxury item. And when it comes to luxury items, we all know that, with regards, to the price, "The sky is the limit".

Here’s a short introduction to the world of watches ... extravagant and/or elegant!

1. Daniel Wellington (DW)

The Swiss company founded in 2011 by Filip Tysander is known for its minimalist style, associated with luxury, but sold at an affordable price. The company bears the name of the character who inspired its founder on a backpacking trip to Australia in 2006. At the time, the “Daniel Wellington” in question wore an imposing Rolex on a military-style nylon strap. Tysander took over the idea to market it. The Warwick model with its silver case and navy blue-and-green NATO bracelet is a perfect example of the combination of elegance and panache.
